About Us

Who we are

We are a full service and privately owned practice that's been around for over 20 years. Our clinics are located in Whittlesea and South Morang.

Unlike many suburban practices, we're available for routine consultations 7 days a week and have a vet on call 24/7 for emergencies.

We treat farm animals and horses as well as the family pets so all species are welcome.

The practice owners are Dr Malcolm Ware and Dr Lisa Weldon who between them have over 40 years of experience in both medicine and surgery. Supported by six other vets and a competent nursing team, there's not a lot we can't so.

Why us?

When you're looking to find a vet, you'll find there're many different types of clinics to choose from. They're all different in the services they provide and the way they do things.

Ours is a General practice which can offer the full spectrum of general medicine and surgery.

As well as the routine, we perform a great deal of non - routine surgical procedures and diagnostics using state of the art surgical and diagnostic equipment.

This allows us to offer you more choices in general veterinary care at non - specialist prices.

Some other things you might want to know about us:

  • We're privately owned and managed which means we can focus on what matters to our clients - not shareholder profits
  • We stay on top of what's happening in our profession by engaging in further education and attending conferences and seminars.
  • We do a great deal of our own research into the methods we use and the products we recommend.
  • We work as a team and discuss all our cases on a daily basis with each other. This is one of the benefits of a multi - vet practice. If a case is particularly challenging we can put our heads together to find a solution. Even if this means trying something different.
  • Some clients come to us because they can't afford specialist care and are looking for options. Unfortunately, too often clients are given "specialist only' options for advanced procedures when many of these can be performed by experienced general practitioners at non - specialistt prices.
